Residents at Northstone’s first housing development in Bolton will become some of the best-connected in the country as the homebuilder partners with internet provider Grain Connect.
All 150 homes at Northstone’s Silkash scheme in Westhoughton will be fitted with Grain Connect’s state-of-the-art full-fibre broadband network – one of the fastest and most advanced in the UK.
Homeowners will benefit from ‘hyperfast’ gigabit broadband speeds with exclusive access to SKY entertainment services through the Grain network with no need for satellite dishes.
Residents’ routers will be connected directly to the fibre network providing equal upload and download speeds and little to no service interruptions – ideal for households who are working, home schooling, watching movies and video gaming all at the same time.
Northstone’s Silkash scheme will provide a mix of two, three and four-bed family homes to help meet local housing needs. Homes will be available to purchase later on this year.
Northstone’s Construction Director Kevin Morris added: “We’ve taken a lot of time to design our homes to fit the needs of families for generations to come and our partnership with Grain Connect will connect homeowners to a hyperfast broadband service which rivals speeds in big cities and offices – something which will really benefit people who need to work from home.”
Richard Robinson, Managing Director of Grain Connect Limited said: “We’re delighted to have been given the go ahead by Northstone to provide hyper-fast broadband to their Silkash scheme. Grain Connect Limited has always focused heavily on innovation in its delivery, products and services so partnering with Northstone who share these values, speaks volumes about this growing partnership.”
