PR & Communications Executive

We are recruiting for the above position in Carlisle, based out of our Head Office.

The working hours will be 37.5 hour per week, which will be worked Monday – Friday between 9am – 5pm.

About this role

Due to recent company growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced PR & Communications Executive to join our ever-expanding team. Reporting to the Head of Customer Experience and Marketing, you will be responsible for the day-to-day ownership of key marketing channels and for creating engaging and creative marketing campaigns to bring new leads into the business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Designing and sending a variety of marketing campaigns to a wide range of customer audiences
  • Reviewing and reporting on competitor marketing
  • Creating and managing social media channel content and engagement
  • Day to day management of marketing campaigns in the CRM system
  • Creation and management of website content
  • Design and sending of corporate emails and text message campaigns
  • Input into the design and wording of all customer journey emails
  • Creation of corporate literature and templates
  • Seeking opportunities to promote the business in the local and national media
  • Sourcing of advertising opportunities in specific communities
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO and digital marketing opportunities
  • Undertake general marketing administration associated with the successful running of campaigns
  • Liaison with journalists and community organisations to arrange PR opportunities
  • Creation and distribution of articles and news
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other customer legislation
  • Working with internal departments to promote and enhance their work
  • Sourcing of appropriate photography and video content for marketing purposes
  • Own and participate in specific projects to enhance the business as it grows
  • Develop a community engagement process to help raise the profile of the company locally

Experience required

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar marketing role
  • Experience in services or utilities would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of graphic design packages including Adobe Illustrator
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and proof reading
  • Understanding of CRM systems, customer journeys and email marketing systems
  • Management of social media channels
  • Management of website CMS systems
