Can I change the location of my router?
In an existing home, all standard router installs are on the ground floor of a property in relation to the fibre access point from the street outside. If you would like to request a variation to this (e.g. upstairs), we may be able to offer this as an option. Variations can only be made at the front of the house (e.g. the upstairs front bedroom) and we can fit a USB faceplate to take the service upstairs, taking a cable directly to it. A non-standard charge of £150 plus VAT applies and must be paid in advance and the install must be booked in prior to the engineer attending, as a longer install as a longer appointment will be required.
In new build homes, the location of the router is pre-determined by the housebuilder and we are unable to change the location for you.
