We are thrilled to showcase yet another rising superstar!

Since joining us back in January 2022 as Product Designer, in just 11 short months, Jake was promoted to Network Design Team Leader and now manages a team of six. Though working at Grain HQ in Carlisle, he also works with the wider team to plan, develop and seamlessly organize our Full Fibre infrastructure across the UK. 

Jake graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a BA in Product Design, completing a year studying abroad at RMIT in Melbourne. He joined Grain, determined to develop skills in a new industry within a tech-centric, fast-growing company. 

“In my role, every day is different which is something I enjoy. I love that I can learn from my manager, who has been fantastic since joining the company, the senior management team, and CEO directly. That is so rare to find. 

As a new Team Leader, I’m looking forward to guiding my team and using my knowledge to help them as efficiently as possible. My team is great, there isn’t a bad member, to be honest, we all have great working relations and get along really well. 

I want to thank Grain for the recognition. My promotion wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my colleagues and managers, I’m grateful for the opportunity, encouragement, and belief in my abilities. I’m looking forward to the challenge and to see how much my team and I can be successful under my leadership.” 

We are delighted to see Jake’s progression and promotion in such a short time and look forward to experiencing his team’s future achievements to come.
