About this role
We are looking for a data driven digital marketing executive who can understand the requirements for segmentation and also consider the content needs for each audience. You will have a good knowledge of marketing techniques, and the ability to design and build workflows and one-off campaigns touching multiple customer contact points. You will work within a team to drive results through our digital channels, using data and analytics to segment our audience and create engaging and creative multi-channel campaigns to generate sales and bring new leads into the business. You will be involved in designing, developing and managing our email and SMS channels, amongst others, and you will support the growth of the Grain brand throughout the UK.
Main responsibilities
The job role includes, but is not exhaustive:
- Ownership of email marketing channels, leading on the design, content and build of workflows and one-off campaigns
- Ownership of SMS marketing, leading on the content creation and build of workflows and one-off campaigns
- Delivery of paid remarketing adverts via channels including Google Ads, ensuring continuous improvement based on results and analytics
- Act as a “Superuser” of the CRM and Marketing Campaign system, becoming the go to person for customer data knowledge
- Design and creation of mobile optimised email content, using analytics to continually improve performance
- Ownership of the customer journey communication via email and SMS, auditing the success of online customer communication and driving ongoing improvements and results
- Support in driving website performance through ongoing content updates, SEO strategy, keyword research, and blog planning – owning the organic growth funnel and collaborating on backlink-building and digital PR opportunities to boost visibility and rankings
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other customer legislation across our data and marketing
- Own and participate in specific projects to enhance the business as it grows
Working hours
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar marketing role
- Digital expertise and passion, with an eye for data and detail
- Excellent written communication skills and proof reading
- Understanding of CRM systems, customer journeys and email marketing systems
- Management of social media channels
- Management of website CMS systems
- Management of paid advertising channels including Google Ads
