NOW Broadband prices are going up - again.

But don’t worry, there’s a way to get out of your contract – penalty-free.

21st May 2025

Another day, another broadband price rise.

This time, it’s NOW Broadband joining the list of providers hiking prices in 2025 — and customers aren’t thrilled.

Their latest move will see prices increase for many in-contract customers in July, despite industry efforts to clamp down on mid-contract surprises. If you’re currently with NOW, you may have already received that dreaded “we’re updating our prices” email.

So, what’s going on?

NOW is bumping up monthly prices for broadband and calls — with some customers seeing an increase £3 per month, for the same service you signed up for.

And while Ofcom banned inflation-linked increases in new contracts, there’s still wiggle room for providers to apply “flat-rate” increases. In other words: you won’t see a percentage rise “because of inflation” – it’ll just happen anyway.

You can leave – penalty-free!

If you’re not happy with the changes, the good news is: you can leave NOW Broadband without paying a penalty.

Here’s how it works:

NOW says:

if you’re within your minimum contract period, give us a call on 0330 041 2498 within 31 days of receiving your price increase notification to avoid early termination charges.

You don’t need to wait until your contract ends. Just give them a ring, say you’re not up for the price hike, and you’re free to switch. Easy.

Heads up – you should have your email already

If you haven’t spotted it already, your price rise email should be sitting in your inbox. It may be addressed from Sky, rather than NOW, but remember they’re all part of the same company.

We do things differently

At Grain, we made a promise: no in-contract price rises. Ever.
You sign up at one price, and that’s what you pay for the whole term of your contract. No in-contract wobbles. No small-print curveballs. Just Full Fibre broadband that’s fast, reliable, and stays the same price throughout.

Oh, and we don’t charge for standard installs or set-ups either. Because… why would we?

So, if you’re tired of being told your price is going up, NOW is the time to switch to a provider that doesn’t play those games. Find your next fixed-price broadband deal.
