Broadband provider Virgin Media has this week announced they will hike their prices even higher, with loyal customers now set to pay an extra £4.00 per month.
If you are a Virgin Media broadband customer, this news at means each April, you will see £4.00 per month added to your bill.
Virgin claim the rises are necessary to continue to invest in their network and ensure connectivity. They previously increased prices by £3.50 per month, and prior to 2025, they increased prices in line with inflation.
Customers signing up to a Virgin Media package in October 2025 would see almost £100 extra added to their contract price through these prices rises.
Grain’s take on the rises
Here at Grain, we feel the price rises are pretty expensive and unfair. We don’t do annual price rises during your contract, EVER. We believe in fair, transparent pricing and the price you sign up for is the price you will continue to pay until your contract ends.
Thanks to owning our own independent Full Fibre broadband network, we are in the driving seat and can protect customers and reward their loyalty with our pledge never to increase prices during a fixed-term contract.
Who else inflicts these rises?
Virgin is just one of many providers who enforce annual price rises on their customers, even when they are locked into a contract.
