• Can I add a phone line?

  Yes, we offer broadband only or broadband and phone deals! We have a number of add-ons to help you tailor your broadband deal to best meet your needs. Get started and add a phone line to your package.

• How do I get a landline from Grain?

  If you would like to add a phone package to your contract, you can pay monthly for a VoIP phone line. This service uses your broadband connection to give you a reliable and modern telephone service. Simply put, it works like a Facetime or Skype call, but with only audio!

  Not to mention, because we don’t use Openreach’s infrastructure, and we have our own independent network, you do not need to pay line rental. With no additional charges, we’re able to keep our costs low and our speeds high!

• Is it worth switching broadband?

  Switching providers is always worth it! The price hikes that many companies force on their customers year-on-year have made many packages and providers eye-wateringly unaffordable.

  If your current contract bundles broadband, entertainment and phone services – you can unbundle them and save £££s! Get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.

• How do I access the Wi-Fi?

  1. Pick your device (mobile, laptop, tablet, whatever you like)
  2. In settings, click on your network SSID, which you should have received by text and email
  3. Type in your case sensitive password and get connected

• How do I get the most out of my broadband speed?

  The ultimate way to make the most of your speed is by using a CAT5e (or above) Ethernet cable to connect devices directly to the router or Wi-Fi extender. Many choose to do this with TVs or desktop computers, and instead connect smaller devices over Wi-Fi – but bear in mind the speed may vary when connecting over Wi-Fi!

• Which broadband providers do not use BT lines?

  Grain Connect! We’re building our own Full Fibre network free from the restraints of legacy broadband providers. Our network is fully fibre optic and runs directly to your home.

• Are landlines being phased out in the UK?

  Yes. The largest provider of old-style voice connections in the UK has announced its intention to transfer its landlines to digital with voice over internet protocol being used. As such traditional landline phones will eventually be switched off. Grain offers a service based on VoIP which can be added to a customers Full Fibre broadband package.
