Offer terms
Package speeds are pushed direct to your router over our Full Fibre network. Some speeds may not be achievable by a single device over Wi-Fi, and a wired connection will always deliver the best speeds. The speed you experience will depend on your distance from the router/Wi-Fi extender, usage and equipment capability. For information about your price at renewal time, please see our Price Guide. Frequently asked questions
-
What is Full Fibre broadband?
Full Fibre broadband, also known as Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), uses fibre optic cables all the way from the network to your home. Unlike older broadband connections that rely partly on copper cables, Full Fibre offers faster speeds, greater reliability and improved performance for streaming, gaming, video calls and home working.
-
Can I have Wi-Fi without a phone line?
Yes! With our Full Fibre connection, you can absolutely have internet without forking out for a home phone line. Why not try switching to mobile calls to save money? Or call over the internet using Facetime or WhatsApp, and save on minutes, too.
-
Is Full Fibre broadband worth it?
If you regularly stream TV, play games online, work from home or connect multiple devices at once, Full Fibre broadband can provide a noticeably better experience. With faster speeds and a more reliable connection, it’s designed to meet the demands of modern households.
-
Is it worth switching broadband?
Switching providers is always worth it! The price hikes that many companies force on their customers year-on-year have made many packages and providers eye-wateringly unaffordable.
If your current contract bundles broadband, entertainment and phone services – you can unbundle them and save £££s! Get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.
-
Which broadband providers do not use BT lines?
Some broadband providers operate their own networks rather than relying on BT’s copper phone line infrastructure.
Here at Grain, we use our own dedicated Full Fibre network, delivering broadband directly to homes and businesses without the limitations of older copper-based connections.
-
Is Full Fibre broadband good for gaming?
Full Fibre broadband is great for gaming, offering advantages over traditional copper-based connections. The fast speeds (up to 2Gbps!) help to reduce latency and ensure smooth, lag-free gaming. Full Fibre broadband supports simultaneous high-bandwidth activities, so you can game, stream, and download large files without any noticeable performance drops.
-

Is broadband better than Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is a radio system used to connect devices to a network. Devices such as iPads and iPhones have small radio receivers built in that enable communication around your home without trailing wires. A home Wi-Fi network is usually established by your router. This shares the internet connection you receive from your internet service provider amongst your devices. You will need a broadband connection from a company such as Grain in order to connect to the internet.
