Can I have Wi-Fi without a phone line?
Wi-Fi is a term that is often used to mean a broadband internet connection, especially when used to refer to access the internet at home. It is perfectly possible with a Full Fibre connection to have an internet service without paying for the expense of a home phone line. However if you do choose to have a connection you can take advantage of one of our fantastic phone packages using VoIP internet calling.

Which broadband providers do not use BT lines?
We don’t! We’re building our own Full Fibre network free from the restraints of legacy broadband providers. Our network is fully fibre optic and runs directly to your home.

Is broadband better than Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is a radio system used to connect devices to a network. Devices such as iPads and iPhones have small radio receivers built in that enable communication around your home without trailing wires. A home Wi-Fi network is usually established by your router. This shares the internet connection you receive from your internet service provider amongst your devices. You will need a broadband connection from a company such as Grain in order to connect to the internet.

Are landlines being phased out in the UK?
Yes. The largest provider of old-style voice connections in the UK has announced its intention to transfer its landlines to digital with voice over internet protocol being used. As such traditional landline phones will eventually be switched off. Grain offers a service based on VoIP which can be added to a customers Full Fibre broadband package.
