Today marks a major milestone for Grain as we celebrate our 10th birthday.
Beginning in 2016 with a simple ambition to bring better broadband to communities across the country has now grown into one of the UK’s largest independent Full Fibre network providers.
Over the past decade, we’ve been focused on delivering fast, reliable broadband with exceptional value for money to households and businesses across the UK.
A Decade of Growth
Grain was founded with a vision, to challenge the traditional broadband market by building a modern Full Fibre network from the ground up. Many areas were still relying on ageing copper infrastructure and we invested in future-proof technology capable of delivering lightning-fast speeds and reliability our customers deserve.
Today, our network reaches hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses, with customers enjoying symmetrical Full Fibre speeds up to 2Gbps.
Milestones That Shaped Our Journey
Over the last 10 years, Grain has achieved a number of significant milestones that have helped shape the business we are today.
As we continue to expand our network coverage across the country, this year we launched our fastest speed yet – Full Fibre 2000. Demonstrating our commitment to meet growing customer demand and to support the next phase of our growth.
As our network has grown, so has our team. We’ve developed into a nationwide business with talented colleagues working across network delivery, customer service, engineering and operations.
We’ve also been proud to receive industry recognition along the way. We were recently listed as being among the UK’s fastest-growing businesses and earned multiple nominations at the 2026 UK Fibre Awards, reflecting the hard work and dedication of everyone at Grain.
